About Me

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for being here. My name is Carla Cary I am the girl behind Just A Plane House. The idea started in early 2020 and has since evolved from a crazy idea to a plausible crazy idea haha. I live on the Central Coast of California with my husband and my dog, Bentley. When I'm not thinking Airplane House, you can probably find me at the beach, traveling, making something, or gardening

You are probably not here to learn about me but rather learn about this airplane house! So here is a little bit about that. The airplane you see pictured is a decommissioned Ethiad Boeing 777-200 (the shortest of the 777 body shapes with a length of *only* 209 feet as compared to the 249 feet of the 777-300. I personally don't mind losing 40 feet of length because the aircraft is still 2/3 as long and 1.5 times as wide as a football field as it is. This project started in early 2020 and is expected to be complete in late 2023 or early 2024.
